This year’s National Nursing Assistants Week is celebrated June 17-23 starting with National Career Nursing Assistants Day on June 17. This recognition week is a time to honor all Nursing Assistants for their hard work and dedication in the healthcare industry.
In celebration, we wanted to highlight a few of our amazing Nursing Assistants from both ePeople and our sister company, eKidzCare. Learn more about these healthcare heroes and what makes them love their jobs as Nursing Assistants.

“I love being a C.N.A. because I’ve always had the passion of helping others in need. I enjoy the connection that I’ve had when working with people and putting a smile on their faces. Making them feel good about themselves makes my heart smile. Just knowing that I’ve made a difference in someone’s day is enough for me.”

Kathy Anderson, ePeople Healthcare
“I enjoy going to church, singing, gardening, and being with my family. I’ve been a CNA for over 15 years. It’s hard work and sometimes very stressful, but when you get to help someone in their everyday care or just try to make the best for them while they are in your care, it can be very rewarding. I remember when I worked at a facility where my mother was for a month before she died. I did my best to make sure she was living the best that she could be. Many of these individuals don’t get to have family members come and see them, so nurses and CNAs are their only families. So you want to do your best to try and treat them well.”

“I’m a home health aide at eKidzCare. I have worked with the same patient for the last 4 or 5 years and love it. I have been in the health care field for over 20 years and never want to do anything else. I’m very family-oriented and if you know me, you know we don’t have to be blood to be considered my family. I only have one biological daughter, who is my world. Although I have more than her that call me mom. I will be attending nursing school in August,  then I plan on coming back to eKidzCare as an LPN and working with the babies when they first come out of the hospital. I want to be trach and vent trained so I can meet all their needs. It’s been a long time since I was in school but I’m really looking forward to it. I want to thank the staff at eKidzCare for being very supportive and encouraging about my wanting to move up. ❤”
